James Wiginton Obituary
He was born March 24, 1928 in Savannah, TN to his parents Henry and Beatrice (Harris) Wiginton. He married his high school sweetheart Frances Newcomb in 1948. He was a decorated veteran who served in WW II, Korea, and Vietnam wars. He was assigned to numerous locations during his career, but Harlingen AFB, TX was his favorite and where he retired. He loved watching Houston Astros baseball and San Antonio Spurs basketball.
James Marcus was proceeded in death by his wife, Frances Wiginton; son, Barry Wiginton; parents, Henry and Beatrice Wiginton. He is survived by daughters, Jan Cromer and Kathy Anderson; son, Larry Wiginton; sisters, Mary Wolfe and Sarah Ward; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please honor James Marcus with contributions to Hawthorn House at AFEV, Wounded Warrior Project, or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
