James 'Jim' Lee Wilcoxson, 80, of Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully with loved ones at his side in Palm Bay, Florida on July 28, 2025. Jim was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on December 1, 1944 to Margaret Ellen Miller Wilcoxson and Dareth Lee Wilcoxson, the middle son of 10 children.

Jim graduated from Jeffersonville High School before traveling throughout the eastern United States and eventually pursuing a career in corrections for the state of Texas. In 2002, he made Florida his home, where he worked in local retail before retiring.

Jim was quite possibly Indiana University Basketball's number one fan, devotedly cheering on his Hoosiers each and every year. His passion for music spanned decades-from Rock 'n' Roll in the '50s, '60s, and '70s to the music of today. He shared his love of music with family, catching memorable shows with them.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother, father, and four siblings Robert Wilcoxson, Donald Wilcoxson, Angela James and Judith Fraze.

He is survived by his siblings Mary Compton, Jeffrey Wilcoxson (Kathy), Vicky Masi (Anthony), Pat Mason (Denny), and Bridget Landberg (Richard) and many, many nieces and nephews living in Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana and Texas.
