Robert "Bob" Wilcoxson, 77, a lifelong resident of southern Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Norton Brownsboro Hospital on May 9, 2025. Born on September 26, 1947, to Harold "Parker" Wilcoxson and Hallie Wilcoxson (Allen), Bob leaves behind a legacy of love and family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Manor (Wilcoxson), he is survived by his children; Cole Wilcoxson (Kaylee) and Cydney Beyl (Eric), who will cherish the memories they shared with him. His grandchildren, Luciano, Cayetano, and Bram, will remember his love and guidance. A devoted father and grandfather, Bob's greatest joy was watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and he often recounted stories of their triumphs on the field.
With a career spanning multiple passions, Bob spent years connecting with the public as a car salesman before finding his true calling with the City of Jeffersonville Parks Department. He retired in the summer of 2021, leaving behind cherished memories, particularly his time near the baseball and softballs fields, which held a special place in his heart.
His charisma and sense of humor earned him many friends – and his claim; "If I've never made you laugh, then you haven't met me," became a hallmark of his personality. Even in his passing, his stories and jokes continue to bring smiles to those who knew him.
Throughout his three year battle with lung cancer, Bob's unwavering spirit and determination inspired those around him. His love for his family fueled his fight, and he never lost his will to keep pushing forward. His legacy will live on through the countless memories his family and friends shared with him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 31st from 1PM – 4PM at the Utica Preservation Building (106 N 4th St, Utica, IN 47130). Bob will be remembered alongside his dear friend and brother-in-law, Robert Manor; celebrating and honoring their lifelong bond and friendship.
