Peggy Canter Obituary

Peggy was a member of Jacob's Chapel United Methodist Church and served on her high school reunion committee. She is known for and will be remembered as being a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Family members left to celebrate her life are her daughter, Lisa Canter Lopp (Jeff); son, Kevin Canter (Marsha); grandchildren, Kristen Lopp Hains (Tom), Erika Lopp Austin (Shawn), Alexis Canter, Colton Canter, Summer Terry and Shelby Terry; great-grandchildren, Shawn Bailey, Ja'Vair Bailey, and Jayce Austin; brother, James Scott (Connie); nieces and nephews, Jimmy Scott (Jennie),their children, Carter and Holden, Chris Scott (Karen), Cara Catlett (Chad) and their children Kendall and Kaden.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 3-7 pm with a memorial service at 7 pm, at Naville & Seabrook Funeral Home, 1119 E. Market Street, 47150. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Brown Cancer Center.

At my husband's last class reunion, I had the privilege of sitting beside an absolutely remarkable lady-one of those rare souls who light up a room the moment she walks in. She was vibrant and full of life, with a sense of humor that made every moment feel effortless and fun. Our conversation flowed so naturally, equal parts entertaining and deeply engaging, the kind that leaves you smiling long after it ends.
Spending time with her was a genuine joy. She had a way of making you feel seen, heard, and completely at ease, and I´m grateful for every laugh we shared that night. It´s hard to imagine a future gathering without her presence-her energy, her warmth, her spark.
I will miss her greatly, but I´ll always cherish that memory and the brightness she brought into it. Some people leave a mark simply by being exactly who they are-and she truly did. With love, Debbie Nicholson.
