Norma Lee Best, born on January 25, 1926, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on November 16, 2025. As a life-long and dedicated member of Floyds Knobs Christian Church, Norma's spiritual commitment was a cornerstone of her life, reflecting the values she held dear.
Growing up in Floyds Knobs, Norma was the daughter of Ezra Miller and Ethel Stone Miller. She treasured her formative years in the community she loved. In her early life, she found joy in the companionship of her beloved husband, Arthur "Art" Best, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years. Together, they created countless memories, spending many delightful days cooking out and enjoying the serene beauty of the river. Her love for her dogs showcased her nurturing spirit, and she often found joy in their company.
Norma is survived by her loving daughter, Artis Wells; her grandchildren, Alli (Greg) Ramsey and Adam (Amelia) Norton; and her step-grandchild, Katie Blieden (Bill Mayo). She also took pride in being a great-grandmother to Lua and Elara, as well as a step-great-grandmother to Addison. She is also survived by her twin brother, Norman Miller.
She joins in eternal rest her parents, Ezra and Ethel; her cherished husband, Art; her son-in-law, Bill Wells; her sister, Pauline Roehm; and sister-in-law, Jean Miller.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Cemetery in Floyds Knobs.
