Terry Irvin Meek, born on March 10, 1953, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away on October 4, 2025.
For many years, Terry served proudly as the Chief of the Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department, a position that highlighted his dedication to public service and his leadership within the community.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Priscilla Meek. Terry also leaves behind three daughters, Kari (Jamie) Grant, Leah (Lee) Garrett, and Tori (Dustin) Foust. His legacy will continue through his grandchildren, Adyson Swarens, Austin Swarens, Laila Freire, Wyatt Garrett, Mila Garrett, Boyd Foust, and Eleanor Foust. Terry is also survived by his nephew, Brad (Roxane) Haynes.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Meek and Betty Wilson Meek, his sister, Patricia Haynes, and his faithful canine companions, Lily and Reese.
Cremation was chosen following Terry's wishes and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
