Debra Ann (Debbie) Deich, known to her family as Mimi, passed away in her home on October 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 70 years old.
A self-proclaimed “army brat”, Debbie graduated from New Albany High School in 1973 and retired from AJ Wissing, PSC after over 20 years of service. Along with her husband Chet, Debbie co-led Celebrate Recovery and was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous with 27 years of sobriety and a longtime member of Graceland Baptist Church.
Debbie was preceded in death by her mother Shirley (Baumann) Bell and her father William “Sarge” Bell.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Chet Deich; siblings Mary Lou Brooks (Bobby) and Jimmy Bell (Carol); children Leah Riggs (Josh), Darren Deich, Kristi Winner (Jeffrey), Sarah Waters (Robert), and Matthew Vest; granddaughters Ellora Riggs, Ava Winner, and Skyler Waters; along with many wonderful nieces and nephews, other loving family members and life-long friends.
Debbie’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Norton Cancer Center and Hosparus of Southern Indiana for providing her treatment and care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Debbie’s behalf to the American Cancer Society, Hosparus of Southern Indiana, The Wounded Warrior Project, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 1:00pm-5:00pm, with a service to follow at 5:00pm, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany Indiana, 47150.
