James Lee Wilkinson, 88 of McComb, MS passed away Monday, April 8, 2024 at the McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McComb, MS. He was born Thursday, June 13, 1935 in Gloster, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Trinity United Church Cemetery in McComb, MS. Bro. Jeffery Conn will officiate with Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wilkinson served his country for two years in the United States Army. He worked as an equipment operator for the Coca Cola Company in McComb, MS, where he retired. He loved rabbit hunting and his rabbit dogs. He loved his wife and family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, loving brother, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Mae Wicker Wilkinson; father, Pat Joe Wilkinson; mother, Lucy Halford Wilkinson; grandson, Chucky Williams.
Survivors include his daughters, Terri W Owens (Pat) of Foxworth, Mary Lee Williams (Richard) of Smithdale; sister, Dean Cain of Liberty; grandchildren, Dara Owens Wilson (Doc), William P. Owens, Callie A. Wiesen (Nick), Justin Williams; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Will Owens, Nick Wiesen, Rodney Shaw, Rusty Shaw, Jeremy Shaw, and Justin Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Howell, Doc Wilson, and Rance Freeman.
