Robert L. Wilkinson, 83, of Paupack Township, Lake Ariel passed away peacefully on Saturday night, August 2, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. He is survived by his loving wife Benedetta "Betty" (Tucciarone) Wilkinson.
Born March 21, 1942 in Staten Island, New York, he was the son of the late Alfred and Louella (Moore) Wilkinson.
Bob was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. One of twelve siblings, Bob learned the value of hard work and integrity at an early age. In the early years of his married life, Bob worked for a roofing company. He later worked as a police officer for the NYPD for nearly twenty years, prior to his retirement. Always invested in his community, Bob was the President of the Port Richmond High School. A lifelong avid sports enthusiast, he was very proud of his son Robert Jr. who earned the title of being the number one quarter-back in Staten Island and New York. Bob enjoyed both football and hockey. He and Betty started visiting Wayne County, PA in 1993 and enjoyed many years of retirement in Pennsylvania since then. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by everyone he knew.
In addition to his wife, Bob is also survived by two sons: Robert L. Wilkinson, Jr. and his wife Theresa, and Brendon A. Wilkinson; six grandchildren: Toni, Carl, Robbie, Alexis, April, and Venessa; and four great-grandchildren: JoJo, Anthony, John, and Kylah; a brother, Raymond; and four sisters: Ann, Carol, Lois, and Beatrice.
