James Williams Obituary
He was born in Cochran, GA to the late Willie Sinclair Williams and Rosa Mae McCormick Williams. He worked for I.W. Strickland logging company for many years in the pulpwood business. He had also worked for Dell Machine Shop for a number of years. When able, he attended Countryside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Jones Williams.
He is survived by his eight children, Diane Carradine of Bickley, James Willie Williams, Jr. (LaDonna) of Washington state, Larry Williams of Waycross, Jack Williams of Waycross, James Williams of Waycross, Lawanda Thomas of Fayetteville, NC, Brenda Murchinson (Michael) of Bickley, and Lorita Williams Oliver of Atlanta; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a close nephew, Tommy Williams (Angela) of South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (January 24, 2026) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.

I am real sad I am just seeing this a year later! Mr James and my grandma Nancy Linton always says they are married in gods eyes! Mr James was like a grandfather to me! He called me always his cookie! Mr James was a very compassionate and loving soul! He always taught me the Bible each week! I will always love you and thank you for being a great friend! Please give grandma Nancy a hug for me! prayers to all his family and friends! God bless!!!
