James C. Wilson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of James Wilson on January 6, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on December 9, 1966, Jim was a loved husband, father, Pops, and son whose life was defined by love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to his family. Jim was the devoted husband of Lisa Wilson, his partner in life and love. Together, they created a home filled with laughter and cherished memories. He was a loving dad to his two children, Emily "Pumpky" and Tyler " Big Guy", and a proud Pops to his adored grandchildren, Chike and Tobenna, who were his greatest joys. Jim had a passion for the outdoors, where he felt most at peace. Whether it was hunting, fishing, or snowmobiling, he loved connecting with nature and spending time in the wild. This love of the land inspired him to dedicate the past 10 years of his life to logging, a profession that allowed him to work in the forests he cherished. A diehard racing fan and car owner, Jim's love for motorsports was a defining part of his life. He proudly passed on his passion for racing to his son Tyler and created countless cherished memories at the track and in the garage with his racing family: Steve, Danny, Brad, and Jack. Jim was predeceased by his father, James L. Wilson, and survived by his wife Lisa, daughter and son in law Emily and Zim, son Tyler, his grandchildren Chike and Tobenna, his loving mother Linda Wilson, and many cherished family members and friends. Along with his parents, they founded Triple Cities Material Handling, where a legacy of hard work and dedication served the community for many years. Jim will be remembered for his warm heart, his generosity, and his ability to bring light to any situation. His sudden departure has left an immeasurable void, but his legacy of love, strength, and passion will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. The viewing will be held on Saturday January 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Barber Memorial Home 428 Main Street Johnson City, NY, followed by a short service at 1pm. Burial will immediately follow at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tango2 Research Foundation at www.tango2research.org/donate in honor of Jim's "Big Guy" and to help find a cure.
