James W. Wilson, age 56, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, at his home in Olney, Texas. Memorial services will be held at a later date with family in Wisconsin. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
James was born on November 19, 1968, to Shirley (Briggs) and Jimmy Wilson in Fort Worth, Texas. He moved from his hometown, Kaukauna, Wisconsin, to Olney in 2021. James had a love for motorcycles, whether that be riding on the road or tinkering with the engine. He had a knack for metalwork and often sold his work from his shop on Main Street. He was most recently mowing yards with his father, Jimmy Wilson. James enjoyed bar-b-queing and helping out his friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Jean Cromer, his sister, Tammy Dennis, his daughter, Ashley Wilson, his fiancée, Tayla Slomski, and his grandparents, Wesley and Alice Gregory.
James is survived by his father, Jimmy Wilson and wife Jimmie of Olney, Texas; two sons and one daughter-in-law: James B. Wilson and wife Tori of Black Creek, Wisconsin, and Bentley Kamke of Kaukauna, Wisconsin; his daughter Evalena Slomski of Olney, Texas, his brother Terry Briggs of Pointer, Texas, his two grandchildren: James T. and Eliza Wilson of Black Creek, Wisconsin, and his aunt and uncle Rita Briggs and husband Eddie of Oklahoma.
