James Wilson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miles J. Kimble Mortuary & Cremation on Mar. 18, 2026.
Mr. James Wilson, 76, of Madison, Arkansas, departed this life on March 16, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on September 1, 1949, in Forrest City, Arkansas.

Mr. Wilson was a resident of Kinton (Widener), Arkansas, and was known as a hardworking man who dedicated many years of his life to labor, including working on a private farm. He was an outgoing yet humble individual who valued family, simple living, and the importance of providing through honest work. He enjoyed talking and spending time with others, and he especially loved his grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Steven Goodwin and Mildred Hullum Goodwin. James was raised with strong values that guided him throughout his life, and he carried those principles well into adulthood. He received his education in Parkin, Arkansas, and after high school, he devoted his life to farm work. He later made his home in Madison, Arkansas, where he resided for the past 40 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory two loving daughters, Jamie Brown of West Memphis, Arkansas, and Rene Wilson of Madison, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply miss him.
