Rev. James Donald "Donnie" Wise, 82, of Winnfield, Louisiana, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 22, 2025, in Winnfield. He was born on June 5, 1943, in Louisiana and remained a lifelong resident of Winnfield.

Donnie was a devoted servant of the Lord who dedicated his life to sharing the gospel with his community. He faithfully pastored several churches in Winn Parish, including Grace Baptist Church, Calvin Baptist Church, Hebron Baptist Church, Corinth Baptist Church, and Lakeside Baptist Church. His ministry, kindness, and unwavering love for God left a lasting impact on countless lives.

Outside of his ministry, Donnie found joy in fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He delighted in preparing fish fries and pies to share with family and friends. His love for God and people was evident in every aspect of his life, and his legacy of faith will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Benjamin Wise and Dorothy G. Harper Wise; siblings, John Ricky Wise, Jonnette Smiley, Sandy Corbit, Sheila Moffett, and Gary Wise; and his son, Jimmy Wise.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Kally Jean Wise; daughter, Danielle Wise Memmel of Winnfield; grandchildren, Elizabeth Mills Sayler (Derek), Alaina Mills, Annalisa Memmel, and Braxton Memmel; siblings, Terry Wise, Randy Wise, Jackie Wise, Donna Hammons, and Betty Taylor; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Grace Baptist Church on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. David Westbrook and others officiating.
