James M. Wood
September 16, 1946 to January 04, 2023
Jim served in the Army Reserves for 6 years during the Vietnam war. Was active for 6 months, never to be called to Serve over seas. He then worked for IBM/ Lexmark for 32 years.
Jim loved all sports and played them all as a child. Later as his family grew, he loved GOLF, holding a 1 handicap for several years. He was a very caring man, husband, father and grandfather. He suffered a severe stroke (clot and brain bleed), Covid, and went into septic shock from a severe bed sore from St Joseph Continuing Long Term Care.
He left behind a wife of 55 years, Gale Meccariello Wood; daughter, Carey Wood Miller (Scott Ellis Miller); 5 Grandchildren, Abigale C Wood, Kalee Jo Tatman Wood, Weston James Miller, Eliza Judy Miller and Clayton Miller; 2 sisters, Rita Edwards and Linda Hawthorn; 2 brothers, John Wood and William D Wood; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Douglas Wood (Brandy) and a brother, Robert Wood (Jill).
Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
