Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home - KaufmanJames E Woods Jr went to be with the Lord on September 13, 2025, at the age of 73.
James was born in San Jose California on January 28, 1952. He Moved to Texas in July 2021. He was a Semi-Pro Football Coach and then went into Sales. The Last 10 years he helped his wife Julie with her safety business and doing Class A Driver training. James has always been involved with the community, first Optimist in San Jose, the Prison Ministries in Fresno and Lions in Kaufman, TX. He was also active in his Church, Kaufman County Cowboy Church as a Lay pastor. He loved God, his family, football and golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years Julie Woods, Children Rachelle Taylor, Tiffany Woods, Nichole Woods, Charles Albrecht, Chris Albrecht, Jaylene Oliphant, daughter in-laws Anna Woods, Crystal Albrecht and son-in-law Anthony Oliphant, grandchildren Jackson Taylor, Presley Taylor Austin Woods, Olyvia Albrecht, Kali Albrecht, Katrina Albrecht, Katarena Albrecht, Jazalene Oliphant, His nephews Sam Woods and wife Anna Woods, Burklee and his wife Audrey Woods, He is preceded in death by parents Ernie and Elizabeth Woods and his brother Lee Woods.
Celebration of Life will be held at Kaufman County Cowboy Church in Kaufman TX on October 18th at 10am. Lunch to Follow
In Lieu of flowers please donate to the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville, TX in his honor.
