Jamie Lynn "Asbury" Bowman

Jamie Lynn Asbury Bowman, 42, of Mount Olivet, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the University of Kentucky. She was born on August 27, 1982, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Ronnie Asbury and Rowena Houston. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Laura Asbury.

Jamie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael Paul Bowman; three sons, Terrence Twitty, Austin Bowman, Brandon Bowman; stepson, Derrick (Allison Sizemore) Franklin; adopted son, Garrett Giles; a daughter, Gracie Bowman; stepdaughter, Cheyetta (Dekain) Abnee; adopted daughter, Zoey Earlywine; brother, Andrew Asbury; one sister, Rhonda Asbury; brothers-in-law, Wade Menkedick, Allen Menkedick, Elvis Bowman; two special people that Jamie always considered being blessed with as a second mom and dad, Jaimie and Jody Sizemore; extra special Bub, Jaimie Shawn; special friend, Mary (Wayne) Hughes; friend, Tara Henderson; nieces, Kaylee Menkedick, Brittany Menkedick, Zoey Menkedick; she was also known as MiMi to Kenleigh Gifford, Alaina Abnee, Asher Vice, Railan Abnee and Kobe Menkedick. Jamie has many friends who were considered to be family. She loved her family, friends and most of all her kids. They fondly remember how she loved lottery tickets and Red Bull, she will be missed dearly.

A funeral service for Jamie will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., at Robertson County Funeral Home. Visitation will be held just prior to the service beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derrick Franklin, Dekain Abnee, Michael Bowman, Austin Bowman, Brandon Bowman, Terrence Twitty, Nate Pack and Elvis Bowman.
