Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fischer Family Funeral Services - Saginaw on Jun. 26, 2025.
Jamie Leigh Conger (1982-2025) passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in
Saginaw, Michigan to Jeanne Ann (Stevens) Conger and James Ralph Conger, Jamie enjoyed a mid-Michigan / Upper Peninsula childhood. From the walks in the fall to enjoy Michigan colors to the hot backyard barbeques, Jamie appreciated any time she could sit with her family and friends.
Jamie attended Western Michigan University completing her undergraduate degree in Social Work. Shortly after, Jamie pursued an advanced master's degree in Social Work at Ferris State University. She proceeded to West Michigan Community Mental Health and served the community for 19 years. She enjoyed her time as a Crisis Stabilization Services Coordinator both caring for the employees under her charge as well as the community in the Ludington / Mason County area.
She is survived by her beautiful daughters MacKenzie Jean Riley (14), Elowyn Ann Riley (6), and her bonus daughter Jada Leigh Riley (23). Jamie dedicated any and all extra time to care for these beautiful ladies and they were the center of her world. She loved being a mom to Jada, MacKenzie, and Elowyn.
Her sister Melissa (Conger) Beaverson (Corey Beaverson) and her brother Christopher Conger (Carrie Conger) and the many extended aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces have been touched by Jamie's love, light, laughter, and support. She will truly be a part of our everyday adventures and will be missed more than we can share.
Jamie's unrelenting love for family and dedication to her profession and career are hallmarks of her parents and grandparents. Her beautiful soul and smile will be missed by all. She tenaciously ensured everyone else's comfort before her own. She loved road trips, sitting by Lake Michigan when a storm was rolling in, and always made time for a good crime documentary. Her place at the Phase 10 table will be missed because it was always spicy around the 5th round and that is when the battle heated up. You could always talk her into any card game Yahtzee, Sorry, Euchre and especially Golf. We are sure grandpa already has the deck of cards ready to go.
Jamie taught us patience, strength, and determination. Her fight will not be forgotten, she inspired so many people in her short 42 years. Jamie's wishes were for her family and friends to come together in celebration, remember her life journey, and to proclaim until we meet again.
"The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again" – Charles Dickens
