Jamie Robinson Lahmon-Boren, 76, passed away October 7, 2025, after a long struggle with post-stroke seizures and Vascular Dementia. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 Friday, October 24, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jamie was born on April 11, 1949, to James and Jean (Balik) Robinson. As a Cedar Rapids, Iowa native, she attended the Catholic School System, including St. Ludmilla's, and LaSalle High School, as well as Public School at Jefferson High School.
Later, she found her true love, with Robert Boren, who she called "Bobby", or "Radar". She was a homemaker and raised her children with pride.
Jamie is survived by her children, Tracy (Jack) Lahmon-Poohl, Jenny (Glenn) Symonds and Robin Boren; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother, Ronald (Doreen) Robinson, sister, Colleen Kutcher, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jean (Balik) Robinson; husband, Robert Boren; daughter, Patricia Lahmon; sister, Patricia Kehm; granddaughter, Chrissy Lahmon-Poohl; and great granddaughter, Qurdelia Bailey.
Jamie loved her family and always made sure everyone had a great time, celebrating birthdays, parades, fairs, events, and holidays with family. She was known to protect her children, encourage them all to be brave and strong, and she remained determined as she conquered life's ups and downs. Jamie always had a pleasant tone, and a beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed!
