Jamie was devoted to church through Agape Christian Fellowship and Victory Life Church. She also was well involved with Alternative of Kalamazoo, where she spent many hours and met several cherished people throughout her time there. She married the love of her life Pastor H. Michael Lutz on June 24, 1963 and the two accomplished goals and dreams that were well-known by many.
Jamie is survived by her children, Susonrae (Scott) Salters, Kristy (Tim) Dirks, Shawn (Terri) Lutz, Jeremiah (Holly) Lutz; grandchildren, Nicholas (McKayla), Courtenay (Jonathan), Hailey, Naomi, Natalie, Ellie, Kaitlyn, Garret; great grandchildren, Bentley, Ensley, Everley, Rowan; brothers, William (Jan) Moore, Dean (RuthAnn) Moore; sister, Pamela (James) Pentico; and nephew, Randy (Robin) Simmons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H. Michael Lutz; her sister-in-law, Elsie (Marvin) Simmons; her brother, William (Jan) Moore and her great granddaughter, Paisley.
Jamie loved baking for everyone, she made bread, cookies, brownies or anything anyone could ask for. She engulfed herself in teaching, the students she encountered through the years and with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that she could share her vault of knowledge. Jamie surrounded herself with her grandchildren, her love for them shone through with the smile on her face when they were around. Mike and Jamie were the heart of the family and their love to serve Christ inspired everyone they encountered.
Visitation will be held at the North Point Church, 571 North 10th Street, Plainwell, MI 49080, on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 am.
A private family interment will be held later.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alternatives Care Centers - Kalamazoo, 4200 West Michigan Avenue #100, Kalamazoo, MI 49006 in honor of Jamie.
