Ms. Jamie Lee Paul Mullis, age 40, of Broxton, Georgia passed away suddenly Tuesday night, June 24, 2025 at Coffee Regional Medical Center Emergency Room.
Jamie was born December 16, 1984 in Douglas, Georgia to the late Gregory Allen Paul, and Sandra Joyce Peacock Smith. She was a homemaker and loved her family deeply. She was a loving mother and enjoyed being outdoors. She was a "Big Rescuer" with a passion to rescue and help any animal, no matter what kind. Following hurricane Helene last year she made it her mission to find and help as many displaced animals as possible.
Jamie is survived by her daughter, Annabelle Mullis of Broxton, Georgia; her son, Hunter Mullis of Denton, Georgia; her mother, Sandra Joyce Smith and step-father of 33 years, Fred Smith; a brother, Trevor Paul of Pickens, South Carolina; a sister, Brandy Paul of Hazlehurst, Georgia; maternal grandmother, Lola Nipper of Douglas, Georgia; a special nephew, Cameron Merritt of Broxton, Georgia and her fur babies Pedro and Hector.
Along with her father, Jamie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Denny Peacock, and paternal grandparents, Harvey and Elece Paul.
A funeral honoring Jamie's life will be held on Saturday afternoon, June 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Purvis officiating. Her family will receive friends in the chapel beginning at 1:00 PM for one hour prior to the funeral. Memorialization will follow by cremation.
