Jamie Sorel

Jamie Sorel, 68, passed away on November 10, 2024. A man of strength and unwavering principles, Jamie was known for his patriotism, steadfast nature, and dedication to his beliefs. Born on November 29, 1955, Jamie grew up in Hinsdale, Massachusetts. He was known for his avid outdoorsmanship and his appreciation for nature. He carried a commitment to integrity and duty with him for his entire life. At 17, he enlisted in the United States Army, answering a call to service with humility and honor. Jamie was a person of deep convictions, standing up for what he believed in. Those who knew him knew that Jamie was a man of his word and someone they could always depend on. Jamie's family and close friends will remember him as a rock and a man of wisdom. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Annis. He is survived by his daughter, Katie Sorel; former spouse, Laurie Hawks; brother, Joel Sorel; sisters, Becky Cole (Jerry) and Jody Mason (Scott); cousin, Guy Lewis (Ingrid); numerous nieces and nephews; a large extended family and a circle of friends who will miss his principled spirit.
