Jamie Kay Wilcox passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the age of 79.
She was born on February 27, 1947, at the Medical and Surgical Clinic on North Main in Weatherford, Texas, to the late James Lee Wilcox and Emma Lee (Brown) Wilcox. Jamie Kay attended Weatherford schools and graduated with the Weatherford High School, Class of 1965. She cherished the time and life-long friends she made while living in Weatherford.
After moving to Fort Worth, Jamie fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), serving with compassion and skill at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center (formerly All Saints) and as an orthopedic surgical nurse at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
In 1980, Jamie returned to Weatherford and lived the rest of her life in her beloved hometown. Talented in many areas, she was known for her exquisite needlepoint and beautiful handwriting. She was an exceptional cook and loved to travel.
As an only child, she cherished the family bond with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Elizabeth Patterson and her grandson, Cole Davis Patterson, both of Weatherford, Texas.
There will be a private family service. Jamie’s warmth and kindness will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
