Jamirious "Big Jay" Ramsey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jamirious "Big Jay" Ramsey, who left this world on December 30, 2025, in Cuthbert, Georgia. Born on June 6, 2008, in Albany, Georgia, Big Jay was a gentle giant whose large frame was matched only by the immense love he had for his family and friends. His warm smile and infectious laughter will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

Big Jay's journey began in Blakely, Georgia, where he embraced life with a delightful blend of hard work and a generous spirit. He received his first job at McDonald's Restaurant, and this initial venture ignited a passion within him for diligence and service. Working alongside his father in lawn care became one of his favorite pastimes, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment to family.

A proud student at Randolph-Clay High School, Big Jay's intelligence shone brightly, allowing him to grasp new concepts quickly and showcase his unique talents. He also enjoyed spending his spare time engaging in hobbies that brought him joy—listening to music, playing video games, cooking delicious meals, and dressing stylishly. His love for hanging out with his cousins and other family members highlighted the importance he placed on community and connection, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Big Jay was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his father, Joshua Moore, and his cherished six little sisters—Briana Cox of Leesburg, GA, Janiyah Ramsey of Columbus, GA, and Kayla and Jayla Baldwin of Montgomery, AL, Jayda Lei' Moore and Jayde Moore, who both reside in Cuthbert, GA. He was particularly protective of his sisters. In addition, his bond with his God brother, Nigel Gibson, Jr., was a source of joy and strength in his life. Grandparents Geraldine (Andrew) Robinson and Willie George Moore, along with great-grandmother Annie Bell Bouyer and God grandparents Pastor Milton and Gloria Jones, provided a solid foundation of love and support that Big Jay cherished deeply.

His mother, Phylicia Ramsey, and grandmother, Stacey Ramsey Lewis, have preceded him in death, creating a void that will be felt profoundly by all who loved him.

Jamirious "Big Jay" Ramsey was not only known for his gentle heart but also for his unparalleled generosity. He had a passion for giving, often surprising loved ones with thoughtful gifts. Big Jay's kind nature and willingness to help others will remain a guiding light for those left behind, reminding them to reflect on the importance of love and kindness in their own lives.
