Jan Garrett Obituary
She was born on July 28, 1940 in Harvard, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Kathryn (Cody) Hayden. Jan was a graduate of Harvard Catholic High School. She married Howard Garrett and had three sons.
Jan was owner and operator of several restaurant/bars including the Copper Kettle in Fontana, Hal's Steakhouse in Big Foot, and Tommy's Tap in Walworth. She enjoyed garage sales, shopping at Goodwill, and watching NASCAR.
Survivors include her son, Dean (Michelle Chinn) Stevenson of Beloit; grandson, Cody Stevenson; sister-in-law, Mary Hayden; nieces and nephews, Shannon Hayden, Brett Hayden, Carie (Ralph) Hayden Gronau, Valerie Hayden, and Ranee (Duane) Hayden Anderson; many great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
She was predeceased by her parents; sons, Curtis and Troy Stevenson; twin brother, Jerry Hayden and brother Rick Hayden.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens, Lake Geneva, WI.
