Jan Brown Moses March 20, 1951 – September 5, 2025 Jan Brown Moses, age 74, of Woodstock, Georgia, entered into rest on September 5, 2025. Born on March 20, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia, Jan was the beloved daughter of Florence Stallings Brown and Edward Herndon Brown. She lived a life marked by devotion to her family, joy in simple pleasures, and a love of learning and play. Jan especially cherished her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy. She found peace in tending her flowers and garden-roses and blueberries were her favorites-and treasured quiet moments spent reading. Always full of energy and spirit, she found great delight in her favorite pastime, pickleball. A proud graduate of Florida State University, Jan carried a lifelong love for her F.S.U. Seminoles football team. Jan is survived by her sons Nicholas Moses (Tara) of Jasper, GA, Matthew Moses of Woodstock, GA, and Mark Moses (Cassie) of Roswell, GA; her brothers Rocky Brown (Liane) of Atlanta, GA, Tom Brown (Radika) of Atlanta, GA, and Joe Brown (Donna) of Auburn, AL; 9 cherished grandchildren and 5 beloved great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Milton Fields Natural Burial Grounds in Milton, Georgia. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour. Reverend Reece Fauscett will officiate. The Funeral Service will be live-streamed at: https://vimeo.com/event/5369619 Jan will be remembered for her warm heart, her love of family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

Wonderful, wonderful Ms. Jan. Only a summer of knowing you and I´m forever changed. We quickly became friends. The last time I left her house, we both joked how our natural instinct was to say "Love you! Bye!" So we did. Love you, bye, lovely human.
