Jan R. Pilsitz, 83, of Middletown passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence in Harrisburg. Born in Royalton, he was the son of the late Lewis and Ann (Hawk) Pilsitz. He was the loving husband for more than 40 years to the late Margaret “Peg” Pilsitz.
Jan served in the Army, serving a tour in Vietnam. He worked for Fineline Homes before his retirement. Jan enjoyed watching the history channel and Ancient Aliens. He loved being on the river with his friends in his younger years. Above all, Jan loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly A. Pilsitz (Alex Bush); granddaughter, Alyssa Bush; and brother Ken Pilsitz. He is preceded in death by his brother, Dale Pilsitz; and niece, Denise Brekosky; along with his wife and parents.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 4-8PM at the Highspire VFW Post 8638, 498 High Street, Highspire, PA 17034.
