Jan C. Stahleker

Canton - Jan C Stahleker, 74, of Canton, OH peacefully entered eternal life after a short illness with family and friends at his side. A resident of Canton since 1980, he was born in Massillon, OH. Jan was a family man and had a wonderful positive outlook on life. He enjoyed golfing, snow skiing, fishing, gardening, and playing cards with his loved ones. He also hunted with his wife and son at their hunting camp near Carrollton. Jan was known for his kind heart and his cooking expertise

Jan was a graduate of Washington High School in Massillon after transferring from Central Catholic. He owned and operated with his son, Stahleker Heating and Construction for most of his working life.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mildred (Waltz) Stahleker.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Nancy, their son, Chad Stahleker (Darlene), granddaughter, Allison Stahleker, his brother, Robert Stahleker, and wife, Florence. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, William Drabina, and wife, Mary, of Erie, Pa, and brother-in-law, Gerald Drabina, and wife Patricia, of Fairview, Pa., and Garrick Drabina, godson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Further survived by 3 sisters, Lynn Bragg, Rhea Kellos, and Janice Stewart.

There will be no calling hours per Jan's request. There will be a celebration of life with family and friends at a later date.
