Jan Haden Walker

Jan Haden Walker, 75, of Jacksonville, FL passed away January 30, 2025. He was born November 22, 1949 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Charles and B. Roberta (Haden) Walker. Jan graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and served his country honorably in the Army National Guard. He held many positions at Blue Cross Blue Shield retiring after many years of faithful service. Jan would faithfully watch the sermons from the Church of Eleven22. He loved to fish, work out, make beef jerky and spend time with his family. Jan was a loyal and dependable friend and a jack of many trades. He was extremely proud to be part of the greatest generation and enjoyed talking politics. Jan will forever be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded by his parents, sisters, Jacque Cook Holmes and Nadine Walker Youngblood and brothers, Charles Walker, Jr. and George Terrell Walker. Jan is survived by his daughter, Drena Gaydon; son, Joshua Walker; sisters, Connie Cook Smart and Darlene Walker Garmus; brother, Byron Jackson Walker; grandchildren, Hannah Radtke and Christopher Thomas; great grandchildren, Landon Baxter, Arhyan Radtke, Samson Thomas, Beackett Thomas and Baby Girl Thomas with numerous extended family and friends. A celebration of Jan's life will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Middleburg in the Prevatt Chapel. Food and fellowship will follow at a family member's home.
