Jana Lee Carter 49 passed away October 26, 2024 in St. George, Utah. She was born March 14, 1975 in Ogden, Utah to Sheila Val Spencer and Louis Clinton Owen. She was the Sixth of Eight children. She married her high school sweetheart, Adam Kelly Carter in Ogden, Utah on April 2, 1994.
She was raised in Pleasant View, Utah graduating from Weber High School. She later moved to Saint George, Utah and attended Dixie State University graduating with a bachelor's degree in communications. Jana worked for Washington County Economic Development for about 15 years and then later at Discover Healing. Jana found great joy in helping others. She found her calling when she hired on with Discover Healing. There she found fulfillment and joy. We are very grateful for Brad Nelson and Jana's work team who rallied around her during her illness.
Jana's greatest joy was found in spending time with her children Celeste and AJ and lifelong sweetheart Adam. Jana loved swimming in the pool, watching movies, playing games, playing the piano, camping, and socializing with her friends. She loved the holidays, especially Halloween which was her favorite. She loved to decorate and put parties together. She provided a safe and loving house where everyone felt welcome.

"Aunt" Jana always made me feel so special, cheering me on like her own daughter. Whenever I came over, she was there with open arms- even when she was too weak to stand. That lady changed my life with her magical self! She was like my second mom. I loved our movie nights and silly chats and am forever grateful for the time we had together. -Savannah
"Jana Banana was one of a kind! Spending time with her was a gift. I'll always treasure the time we had to laugh, cry and be "sisters". - Anna
