Jana Sue Fraley Strom, 76, originally of Pecos, passed away on November 16, 2024 in Dallas, TX.

Jana was a 1966 graduate of Pecos High School, where she was a twirler and played the clarinet in the PHS marching band. Jana was a member of the Future Teachers of America, was elected FFA Sweetheart and was also an active member in the First Baptist Church of Pecos. After high school, Jana obtained a Masters degree in education from the University of North Texas - Denton, where she was also a member of Chi Omega. She dedicated the majority of her teaching career to the Keller Independent School District, and touched the hearts and minds of many students and coworkers over the years. Jana was known for how much she loved her family, friends, and her cats (Scooter, Tiger Lilly, Precious, George, and others). After retirement, she volunteered her time to the local Meals on Wheels organization. Jana’s earthly body may no longer be with us, but her warm and uplifting spirit will live on forever in the memories we cherish and the love we have for her.

Jana is preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Rae Fraley.

She is survived by her loving companion, Roddy of Dallas; a younger brother, Jim of Arkansas; two nieces, Kristina of Conroe, and Kyra of Arkansas; two great-nieces, Kambra Rae and Kloi Jean, both of Arkansas; one great-nephew, Coy Don of Arkansas; and one cousin, Joe Loving of New Mexico.

A Family and Friends Gathering will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Pecos Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at First Baptist Church at 2:00pm in Pecos Texas.
