Jane E. (Bachman) Auman, born December 7, 1929, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Fairlane Gardens, Exeter. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Auman, who passed away on July 14, 1993. Born in Birdsboro, a daughter of the late Harvey and Emma (Sheeler) Bachman. Jane graduated from the former Amity High School, class of 1947. She worked at the former Lincoln Underwear Mills and K.T.C. for 50 years as a machine operator. Jane volunteered at the election day polls at the 6th precinct- Exeter for many years. She was a member of Schwarzwald United Church of Christ and Eastern Star Chapter 251. Jane loved to make cookies and Fastnacht for family, friends, and neighbors.
Jane is survived by her son Jay W. Auman, husband of Tammy. She is also survived by her grandsons; Bradley Auman, husband of Adriana, and Jacob Auman, husband of Kristen, as well as her great-grandchildren; Kenzie, Payton, and Lucas. Jane was preceded in death by her siblings; Ethel, Bertha, Kathryn, Emma, Ruth, MaryEllen, Evelyn, Esther, Grace, and Clyde.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Schwarzwald U.C.C., 75 Church Lane Road, Reading, PA 19606. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., has been entrusted with arrangements.
