Jane Ann Bapp, 67, Denver, Indiana, and formerly of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, at her residence.
Born October 6, 1958, in Tipton, Indiana, she was the daughter of Vernon Bowen and Norma (Hayworth) Jarvis. She was married to Carl T.W. Bapp, Sr., and he passed away on June 10, 2021.
Jane grew up in Howard County, Indiana, and had attended high school in Kokomo. She had worked at Federal Mogul for many years. She was an avid football and Colts fan and also enjoyed watching Nascar, especially the Earnhardts. She loved fishing, camping, and spending time with her family—especially her grandbabies.
Survivors include her children, April Doty, Rensselaer; Angela (Jim) Smith, Mount Ayr; Carl (Ashley) Bapp, Jr., Logansport; Windy Estrada, Peru; and Brandon Ward, Peru; grandchildren, Scott, Alex, Monica, Haylie, Jazmine, Kira, Tripp, Dalton, Marley, Carleigh, and Brayden; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Bowen, Denver; son-in-law, David Doty; and her beloved canine companion, Miss Kitty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl T.W. Bapp, Sr.; one son, Patrick Joseph Gaskill, Jr.; brothers, Mark Bowen and Ronald Bowen; sister, Peggy Bender; granddaughter, Abrahna Perez; a son-in-law, James Smith; and her angel-dogs, Catfish and Peyton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Terry Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery, Kokomo.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
