Jane Jean Beckman

Jane Jean (Flor) Beckman 79 of S. Sioux City, NE passed suddenly after a short illness on February 15, 2024. She was born on August 17, 1944 in Little Falls, MN. Jane's family later moved to Westbrook, MN where she spent most of her childhood. Jane was united in marriage to Allan Beckman on November 26, 1961 at the Pfingsten Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Fulda, MN.  After their marriage they lived and farmed south of Fulda where they raised their three children.  They were later divorced, but remained close friends. Jane lived with her twin sister Judy for 15+ years in Worthington, MN.  After Judy passed away in 2021 Jane moved to S. Sioux City, NE to live with her youngest son, Paul.  

 

After moving from the farm Jane worked at several places in Worthington, MN & Sioux City, IA. Her favorites were working for many years selling pull tabs at the Long Branch in Worthington.  And being a cashier at Hy-Vee in Worthington, where many would stand in line to be able to talk with Jane.  Her ready smile and friendly conversation were heart warming to many.   Jane retired when she moved to S. Sioux City, NE.

 

Jane loved watching game shows on TV and going to BINGO, especially with her sisters on Thursday nights in Brewster.

 

Jane is survived by her children: Bruce (Vonda) Beckman, Finlayson, MN,  Terri (Brian) Pelzel, Heron Lake, MN & Paul (Vicki) Beckman, S. Sioux City, NE.  Grandchildren:  Bailey, Shelby,  & Delaney Beckman, Becky (Tami), Jessie (Ann), & Cory (Kate) Pelzel, Whitney (Sam) Gunter, Mandi Porsch, Latasha & Logan.  Great Grandchildren, Keaton Pelzel & Mason & Myles Baumgard, & Zoey & Korbin Porsche, and Great Grandson Baby Pelzel due in May of 2024, Brother Richard (Betty) Flor, Sisters Deb Bruns, Sandy (Tom) Paulzine, & Carol (Henry) Veldhuisen, Sister-in-laws Madora Flor and Linda Flor, Brother-in-Law Ralph Peddycoart, and many Nieces and Nephews & friends.

 

Jane is preceded in death by parents Loretta (Dan) Cohrs & Fred Flor; Twin Sister Judy Parsley; Sisters Barbara Flor and Mildred Peddycoart, Brothers Jim Flor and Chuck Flor, Brother-In Law Gary Bruns, and father of her children, Allan Beckman.
