Jane Brandon Bernot, 75, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Hospice Home of High Point.
Born August 27, 1950, a native of High Point, she attended local schools before obtaining bachelor’s and master’s degrees at UNC Chapel Hill. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Gamble Bernot; and cousins, Joseph Grimm of Elkhart, IN, Edward Hansen (partner Michael Barnett) of Atlanta, GA, Brandon Hansen Frein (husband Tracy) of Chicago, IL, and Stephenie Clark (husband Steve) of Elkhart, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ann Gamble and Albin Robert Bernot of High Point; her sister, Lynne Bernot Fogarty and husband William of Pensacola Beach, FL; and her aunts and uncles, Betsy Brandon Gamble and Harold Hansen of Atlanta, GA, and Frances Bernot and Joseph Grimm of Elkhart, IN.
Initially, Jan worked in health administration for Durham County, then health planning for counties of the Capital Region. She spent her remaining work years as a planner, manager and sales rep for the Paper and Chemicals markets of CSX Transportation in Baltimore, Jacksonville, FL and Wilmington, NC, offices.
