Jane Frances Biesterfeld (Weibel) age 92 of Wautoma, passed peacefully at Theda Care Medical Center, Wild Rose on December 29, 2024. She was born April 8, 1932, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to the late Matthew and Louise (Miller) Weibel. Jane graduated from the St. Patricks High School in Milwaukee and on June 14, 1952, she went on to marry Elsworth Salisbury at the SS Peter and Paul Rectory Church in Milwaukee, WI. Elsworth preceded her in death in 1978 and she would go on to marry Roy Biesterfeld on June 22, 1985, who preceded her in death on May 23, 2003.
She was a caring and loving wife who thought the world of her family and enjoyed the connections that she had with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her beautiful garden beds, baking, watching birds out her window, putting together puzzles and caring for her cats. She was a determined and independent lady who will be remembered for her sharp mind and independence. She had a quick wit and keen sense of humor that was infectious and treasured by those she loved.
Jane worked for the Wisconsin Telephone Company, Walworth Accounting Office, National Premium and Merchandising Company and Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She was a devoted member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma.
She is survived by her loving sister Marjorie Schnapp, New Jersey, sister-in-law Emma Weibel, nieces; Debra Payne, Diane Payne, Mary McGarvey, Margaret Zane, Carol Fitzgerald, Cathy Sill, and Sue Sirkis and nephews; Mark Weibel, Jeff Weibel, Nicholas Payne, Steve Schnapp, James Schnapp, Michael Schnapp, Charles Schnapp, Mark Schnapp, and Tim Weibel, along with other relatives and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Donald Weibel, and James Weibel, her sisters, Ruth Clarkin, and Virginia Weibel and nieces, Jendy Paeschke and Yvonne Payne and nephews, Gregory Weibel, and Richard Weibel.
Jane wanted to thank the staff at Heartland House, and the ThedaCare Medical Center, Wild Rose for all their support and the compassionate care they provided her.
