Jane Rudder Bing of Gainesville, Georgia, left us peacefully after a brief illness on June 18, 2025 at the age of 102. Jane was born in 1922 in Fenton, Missouri, the only child of Elmer and Mildred Rudder. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Captain Hardy Glenn USN Ret. of California, Missouri. Jane was raised in Missouri, but with her husband and two sons followed his military career where she developed a keen interest in learning about new places and people. Her genuine curiosity and warmth endeared her to people she encountered, and she had an uncanny ability to strike up meaningful conversations that often turned into lasting friendships. She took great joy in her family, her many friends, and remained engaged and of strong opinions about the world and events around her. Jane never met a stranger and she will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey Glenn of Phoenix, Arizona, son Steven Glenn and daughter-in-law Tamra Dole Glenn of Gainesville, Georgia, and nephew Ron Begemann of Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Memorial donations can be made in her name to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia.
