Jane A. Cartwright, age 94, peacefully passed away on January 5, 2026.
Jane was born May 23, 1931, to Lillian Maude and Joseph Leiter Aitcheson. She led a double life as a fashion model and a horseman. Jane also worked as a newspaper reporter alongside her modeling and horseman activities. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and dogs as well as taking walks.
Jane is survived by her sons Robert Curley, Jay Curley (Alison), and Todd Curley; grandchildren Sarah Curley, Sam Curley, Cheyenne Curley, and Cole Curley; niece Jody Davis (Tom) and their sons Jake and Brett.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Cartwright; her parents Lillian Maude and Joseph Leiter Aitcheson; and her brother Joseph Leiter Aitcheson, Jr.
A memorial gathering will be held January 15, 2026, at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. located at 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707 from 11:00am to 1:00pm, with a memorial service beginning at 12:00pm. The family welcomes all who wish to share a memory to speak during the service.
