Jane Ellen Charon

Jane Ellen Charon, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2025, at her home in Lakewood, New Jersey. She was 92 years old. Born on March 19, 1932, in Newark, New Jersey, Jane lived a life rich in love, devotion, and family.
Jane is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Ernest Charon, also her daughters Debbie Holzherr and Susan Stickle (husband Bill). She was also blessed with three grandchildren; Caitlin Quarne (Ben), Eric Stickle (Whitney), Jenna Stickle and 4 Great Grandchildren Ryan Olivia, Leilani, Lennon Rae, and Luke, each of whom she adored and treasured deeply.
A longtime resident of Westfield and Clinton, Jane and Ernest moved to Lakewood ten years ago, where they enjoyed their later years.
Throughout her life, Jane's passions reflected her kind and gentle spirit. She loved singing with her sisters as their mom played the piano, listening to music, finding comfort and joy in each note. Crocheting was another of her beloved hobbies, and she often shared her creations with those she loved.
Jane will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion.
A Private ceremony of Entombment will be on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:30 at Immaculate Conception Cemetery & Mausoleum, 314 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ 08801
