Kyle Charon

Mr. Kyle Joseph Charon age 33 of South Carthage, a kind soul, endlessly curious, wonderfully animated, and had a willing heart toward helping others, was discovered unresponsive on Wednesday afternoon at his mother's while visiting with her from his home in Park City, Kansas. He was pronounced deceased on arrival at 6:30 p.m. June 11, 2025 at the Highpoint Health – Riverview Medical Center Emergency Room in Carthage.
Mr. Charon was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home and was scheduled to be cremated at Cumberland Family Services in Algood.
Though his time on earth was far too short, his spirit, humor, and heart will live always in the lives he touched.
Born Kyle Josph Charon on April 27, 1992 in Oceanside in San Diego, California, and was born seven weeks prematurely.
Kyle was the son of Mrs. Alicia Anne Rocheleau Hoffman of South Carthage and Mr. Joseph Charon of Woodstock, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Cassandra Jonelle Charon who died at birth in San Diego, California on May 23, 1990.
Also preceding him in death were step-father, Robert Hoffman, fraternal grandparents, Joseph and Charon and Connie Gentile; step-grandfather, John "Pa" Norman, maternal grandparents, Alice and Alfred Rocheleau.
Kyle had attended Smith County High School for three and one-half years and was a 2010 graduate of the Hoosac Valley High School in Chesire, Massachusetts.
Following high school, he attended college in both Massachusetts and Kansas studying chemistry.
Mr. Charon was in hotel management for the Marriott Corporation and was based in Wichita, Kansas before becoming disabled.
While in Tennessee he had plans to celebrate his son, Alexander's second birthday and Father's Day, and he died three days before that special, much anticipated occasion.
Surviving in addition to his mother and father are two sons, Alexander Charon and Oystein Bozarth both of Lebanon; five siblings, Devin Richardson and fiancée Lisa of Wichita, Kansas, Harley Hoffman and Tater Hoffman both of South Carthage, Nathan and Ryan Charon both of Woodstock, Georgia; step-mother, Suzan Charon of Woodstock, Georgia; special friend, Alley Lawrence ; step-grandmother, Jean "Gram" Norman of Massachusetts; numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special time to honor Kyle's memory will be scheduled at a later date.
