Jane M. Cornell, 65, of Dieterich, IL, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jane was born on April 22, 1959, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of George and Rebecca (Waugh) Cornell.
Jane loved her family and was very supportive of her children. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she enjoyed spoiling them whenever she could. Jane also loved animals and enjoyed camping and four-wheeling. She could be found watching her cooking shows and game shows on tv often and she was great at trivia. Jane also loved going for rides in her "Plum Crazy Purple" Dodge Challenger.
Jane is survived by her fiancé, Kent Schmidt of Dieterich; mother, Rebecca Cornell of Effingham; children, Dawn (Steve) Kuhlman of Beecher City, Raymond White of Dieterich, and Aaron (Catherine) White of Dieterich; grandchildren, Dylan White (Courtney), Jake White (Delia), Taylor White (fiancé, Aaron), Shawnda White, Courtney White, and Ethan White; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mark (Anita) Cornell of Effingham, Rita (James) Arnold of Watson, Jimmy (Lorena) Cornell of Texas, Angie (Cameron) Newbigging of Michigan, and Wayne (Julie) Cornell of Effingham; sisters-in-law, Vivica "Dedo" Cornell of Watson and Lisa Cornell of Effingham; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; brothers, George Gregory "Greg" Cornell and Gary Cornell; 2 nephews; 1 great-niece; and 1 great-nephew.
