Jane Caroline Everts

Jane Caroline Everts, age 94, of Knob Noster, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Western Missouri Medical Center.
She was born November 1, 1930, in Kansas City, MO. She was adopted by Karl K. Swisher and Mary J. Gallaher Swisher as an infant.
On June 2, 1948 she married Donald J. Everts in Sedalia, MO. He preceded her in death.
Jane was a Member of the First Christian Church of Knob Noster for over 80 years. She was a Life Member of the VFW Post 4195 Ladies Auxiliary.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Dona Detherage (Maria) of Chilhowee, MO; her Grandson, Gregory Clements (Rebecca) of Knob Noster, MO; Great Grandchildren; Caroline Clements, Cheyenne Clements, Gregory Clements, Jr., and Riley Clements of Knob Noster MO. Other survivors include Kenneth Everts (Teresa)
She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl K. Swisher and Mary J. Gallaher Swisher; her stepmother, Jewell Swisher; a Sister, Leota Ahring; and a Brother, Estel Curnutt.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the First Christian Church of Knob Noster with Pastor David Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Knob Noster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church of Knob Noster and left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
