Jane D. Graber, 83, passed away on December 15, 2025.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the Marquardt Memorial Manor Chapel on 1020 Hill St in Watertown, WI at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ray Bezanson officiating. Jane Dorothy Graber was born on January 10, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI, to parents August and Eleanore (Marsch) Graber. Jane dedicated over 19 years of service to the City of Watertown as a crossing guard, where the children fondly called her "Candy Cane Lady" because she always gave them candy. She also worked in various factories, cleaned taverns, and was employed with Miller Merchant Police for 25 years.
Jane was fond of arts and crafts, with drawing and painting ceramics among her favorites. Jane enjoyed reading and shopping on QVC, often purchasing random gifts to give to her nieces. She was also a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #189.
Jane is survived by her twin sister, Janet Thompson; nieces, Dawn Stanko, Kelly Schacht, Renee Thompson; and her good friends, Joyce Riebe and Josh.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Betty Czekalski and George Graber; nephew, Kevin Thompson; niece, Carrie Thompson; and companion, Charlie Englehart.
