Jane Hart Obituary
Jane Hart, age 86 years old passed on 2/25/26. Jane was born in Brooklyn, NY on 2/15/1940 to Irish immigrants John Patrick and Violet McHale. Jane was a resident of Staten Island NY for the last 60 years. She is predeceased by husband Dion Hart and siblings Violet McHale, Ellen Derowski, Anne Gallagher and Jack McHale. She is survived by daughters Bernadette Hart- Gerrish, Mary Jane Hart-Carr, grandchildren Austin, Conor, Oliva, Meredith Gerrish and Caroline, Liam, Emma and Jack Carr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jane retired as a Supervisor from the Department of Environmental Protection. She also worked as a secretary for the Blue Cross/Blue Sheild. Jane was a parishioner of St, Christopher's church for over 60 years where she taught CCD and shared her love of the Catholic faith with her students. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary where she made rosary beads to share with imprisoned people. She also served as the President of St. Christopher's Lady's Guild where she led many fundraisers. Jane loved to spend time with her family especially watching her eight grandchildren grow up. She also enjoyed gardening and needle pointing. Jane was a special woman who had a great love of life and lit up every room she walked into. She will be terribly missed by those who had the great fortune to know her.
Funeral Arrangements are as follows:
Sunday March 1st
7pm – 9pm
Monday March 2nd
2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm
Mass at St. Christopher's Church 10:30 AM
