Jane Carolyn McClanaghan

Jane Carolyn (Lennon) McClanaghan, 78, of Warwick passed away peacefully on January 17th, 2024. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary A. (Martin) Lennon. She was the former wife of the late Robert W. McClanaghan, III. Jane graduated from St. Patrick High School in RI and St. Bonaventure University in NY, with a Bachelor's degree in Education, followed by a Master of Arts degree in Library Science from Marywood University in PA. Jane was a former member for seven years of the Order of St. Francis located in Olean, NY. She was in the Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Mercy and was a hospice volunteer with Hope Hospice.
Jane is survived by her beloved son Robert W. McClanaghan, IV, of East Greenwich, RI, and beloved daughter Shana (Sunny) Gleason of Hanover, MA., her sisters Marjorie (Robert) Reidy of Cranston and Judith Cafferty of Hingham, MA. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Kira, Ela, Brycen, Rob V, Gia, Reese, and Colby. Jane will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and avid reader. Her grace, kindness, and faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett, Interment will take place at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, RI.
