It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jane Ellen Miller, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She peacefully departed from this world on February 9, 2024, at Marion General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born on January 7, 1950, to Russell and Isabelle Mollenkopf. Jane lived a life rich in love, compassion, and dedication to her family. She leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Jane had an opinion on everything and advice for all.
Jane was the devoted mother of five children, Todd Nutter, Michelle (Ed) Johnston, Tonya Ballard, Chad (Tumpa) Nutter, and Brian Nutter. Her nurturing spirit and selfless love created an exciting home where countless memories were made. She took immense pride in her role as a mother, and her love for her children was unwavering. She was a proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren: Tiffany (Justin) Cellar, Lindsy Nutter, Chyanne Fields, Schenly (Jeremy) Wheeler, Samanitha (Josh) Akers, Dylan Childers, Erin Ballard, Hannah (Macie) Easterday, Jeremiah Nutter, Jacob Fields, Chelbie Fields, and Ari Nutter. She also has 6 great grandchildren: Kentley Kelder, Laela Banning, Wrennyn Holsinger, Ried & Cameron Wheeler, and Violet Bollack.
One of Jane's greatest joys in life was her love for gardening. Her green thumb and passion for cultivating beautiful flowers and bountiful vegetables brought vibrancy and life to her surroundings. The garden she tended to with care was a reflection of the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her.
Animals held a special place in Jane's heart, and her home was always filled with her beloved Toy Manchester Terriers. Jane embraced the companionship and unconditional love they offered. Her gentle and caring nature extended not only to her family but also to the furry friends who found comfort in her presence.
As the matriarch of the family, Jane had a magical way of making holidays truly special. Whether it was decorating the house, preparing festive meals, or creating cherished traditions, she made every celebration memorable. The warmth and love she poured into these occasions created a sense of togetherness that will be dearly missed. Beyond her roles as a mother and homemaker, Jane was a cherished friend to many. Her kindness, generosity, and welcoming spirit endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her genuine warmth and compassion.
Jane married Gregory Miller on October 3, 1992; he proceeded her in death. Jane is survived by her sisters, Lenona (Mark) Bednarz, Ashland, and Peggy (Jim) Gearhart, Sycamore. Jane was proceeded in death by her parents, Russell and Isabelle Mollenkopf, a sister Nancy Jane, and 2 granddaughters Alecia and Faith Nutter.
In this time of grief, let us remember Jane as a beacon of love, family, and joy. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
You will be missed mother.
A celebration of Jane's life will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Victory Rock Church 1700 Fairview Rd. Galion, Ohio 44833. Viewing 11-12 service starts immediately after.
