Jane Skidmore Nance passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Jane was born on March 17, 1936 in Akron, Ohio. She attended the Huron Road School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio, becoming an RN, and earned her BSN at The Ohio State University. She taught Nursing at Columbus State Community College for over 20 years, and earned both her Master of Nursing and Master of Clinical Psychology while working full-time and raising three daughters. Even in retirement, Jane led a life of service, running the food pantry at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, serving as a Stephen Minister and Parish Nurse, delivering Meals on Wheels, volunteering in hospice care, and serving on the boards of SourcePoint and the Villas at Canterbury Woods Condo Association. She also loved her family, the Buckeyes, reading, baking, traveling and socializing with her many friends.
Throughout her life, Jane touched the hearts of many with her kindness and compassion. She provided unwavering love and support to her family, and was the best wife, mom, gramma and great-gramma. She will be remembered for her wit, her gentle nature combined with her fierce support, and as the positive role model she was to all who knew her.
