Ruth "Ruthie" Martin of Delaware, Ohio, passed away February 3, 2026, in Columbus. She was born October 14, 1937, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of Glen Carter and Opal (Fulk/Carter) White. On April 20, 1957, she married Wayne Martin who survives.
Ruth moved to Sunbury, Ohio in 1952 and graduated from Big Walnut High School in 1956 and worked at Lazarus as a salesperson for 32 years. She was a homemaker, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by her sons, Dwayne (Sally MacGregor-Martin) Martin of Columbus and Gary Martin (Patrick Owens) of New York City; Grandchildren: Molly Martin and Sarah Martin; Step-grandchild: Sean (Anita) MacGregor; Step-great grandchildren: Audrey MacGregor and Jacob MacGregor and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Step-father: Harry White; Sister: Doris Hackley and Brother: Simon (Junior) White.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, and at 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, where a funeral service will be held at the at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Calvin Alexander officiating. Burial will conclude in the Forest Lawn Memory Garden in Columbus.
