Jane Plaster Obituary
Jane was born on December 18, 1927 in Sharon, PA to Albert and Alice McBriar (Griffith), and grew up in a close-knit family. Jane was a valued active member of the Grace Brethren Church, where she found solace, support, and a sense of community. Her faith was a guiding light in her life and gave her strength during both joyful and challenging times. Her dedication to her church family was evident through her active participation in various ministries and her unwavering commitment to living a life reflective of her spiritual beliefs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Plaster; son David Plaster; and siblings Mary, Ray, and Howard McBriar. She is survived by her children Maggie Shoemaker (Robert), Richard Plaster (Christine), and Ginny Plaster; grandkids Andrew Plaster, Rachelle Creighton (Brandon), Robert Plaster (Nichole), Charles Shoemaker, Raegan Lucio (John), Beth Baughman (Chris), and William Plaster; and 13 great-grandkids.
A Funeral Service will be held at Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel 801 Pittsburg Ave NW on Tuesday October 24, 2023, at 12:30 pm Pastor Joe Cosentino officiating. Prior to the service, there will be Calling Hours/Visitation from 10:30 am at the same location. Family, friends, and community members are invited to gather together to pay their respects and to share stories and memories of Jane's extraordinary life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Grace Brethren Church in memory of Jane A. Plaster.
