Jane Marie Pointer

Jane Marie Pointer, 78, of 289 Jack Pointer Rd., Semora, died Thursday, February 16, 2023. Born in Lynchburg, VA, Ms. Pointer was the daughter of the late Jack Lea and Mary Frances Adams Pointer. Ms. Pointer retired as a guidance counselor at Bartlett Yancey Senior High School.
Ms. Pointer is survived by her brothers, Jack Lea Pointer, Jr. and wife Cherry, of Semora and Clarence Robert Pointer and wife Cissy, of Oak Island; her sister, Mary Jo Pointer Blevins and husband Gary, of Semora; her nieces and nephews, Kelly Harris, John Pointer, Robert Pointer and Rachel Groce and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be held 3PM Monday, February 20, 2023 at Red House Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Stan Brown. The family will receive friends at Red House Presbyterian Church following the service and at other times at the home of her sister Mary Jo Pointer Blevins, 406 Jack Pointer Rd., Semora.
Pallbearers will be Robert Adams Pointer, John Lea Pointer, Zachary Lea Earp, Osmond Smith, William Garland "Butch" Blackard and Brent Groce.
